Join the Reserve staff and the Waccamaw Neck Branch Library on the South End of Pawley’s Island as we explore creatures and critters that live in the intertidal zone. Try your luck with dragging a large seine net through the water to try and catch fish and crabs. We will also sift through sand to find what lurks beneath us! Wear clothes/bathing suit that will get sandy and wet. Bring plenty of water, snacks, and sunscreen! Meet at 9AM, please car-pool as much as possible due to limited parking.
Join the Reserve staff and the Waccamaw Neck Branch Library as we explore what lurks on the beach at night! We will start the night by dragging a seine net through the water to see what animals we can catch. Please wear clothes that will get sandy and wet. Red flashlights will be provided upon registration. It is best to use red flashlights on the beach at night to avoid disturbing any beach animals. This program will take place at the South end of Pawley’s Island. Once you register, a staff member will email you directions and information.
