Conservation Easements In Horry County
As requested during meetings of Horry County's Rivers and Wetlands Protection Ad Hoc Committee, a session has been organized featuring a panel of folks that have experience with conservation easements to discuss promoting their use in Horry County. The session will be at 7 PM on Wed, Sept. 3rd at CCU's Center for Marine and Wetland Studies (Room 100). This time was chosen to fit our panel's schedules. The panel will include: Gerry Cohn of American Farmland Trust, Jennie Williamson of Pee Dee Land Trust, Brenda Davis of Community Open Land Trust, and Maria Whitehead of The Nature Conservancy. This will be a great opportunity to find out about outreach strategies, target audiences, what works and what doesn't, and the ins-and-outs of easements.
