Grand Strand Healthy Pond Series: Inspection 101 @ South Strand Rec Center

The Healthy Pond Series is a community-based discussion series for pond owners to learn and share stormwater pond management solutions. This workshop will provide a hands-on demonstration of pond inspections. Participants will hear from extension specialists and local government staff about the steps involved in conducting a pond inspection. Participants will be guided through a pond inspection form with an example pond demonstration.  This workshop is intended for pond owners in the Grand Strand area (Horry and Georgetown Counties). The Healthy Pond Series is hosted by the North Inlet – Winyah Bay NERRClemson Cooperative Extension and the South Carolina Sea Grant Consortium.

Who should attend: HOA representatives, pond owners, pond management professionals

Cost: FREE

This is an in-person workshop. The majority of the event will be outdoors. In the event of inclement weather, the workshop will be rescheduled. We suggest wearing comfortable walking shoes. We will be walking a short distance around a stormwater pond on some uneven ground.

*COVID-19 Safety Notes – Social distancing and masking are strongly encouraged throughout the workshop.
