Adopt-a-Stream Training
VOLUNTEERS WANTED!
South Carolina Adopt-a-Stream (SC AAS) is a statewide volunteer water quality monitoring program where participants learn to assess the health and water quality of their local waterways. SC AAS provides education about stream health, pollution, and the connections between land use and water quality to people across South Carolina.
This FREE workshop focuses on physical, chemical and habitat monitoring. You will learn how to: select a monitoring site, use equipment, collect samples, test water quality, enter data, assess stream conditions, and practice safety in the field. Certified volunteer water quality monitors are encouraged to adopt a tidal saltwater site to sample on a monthly basis.
