Build a BioRack and Marine Invertebrate ID Workshop
Do you wonder what’s living under your pier or dock? BioRacks are made of a series of acrylic disks that are suspended vertically under tidal creeks from piers or docks. Volunteers monthly remove the discs and examine them for colonization, species diversity and the presence of marine invertebrates. Participants in this workshop will build their own BioRack and practice marine invertebrate identification using microscopes.
