Phytoplankton Monitoring Volunteer Training
The National Phytoplankton Monitoring Network (PMN) is a community-based network of volunteers monitoring marine phytoplankton and harmful algal blooms (HABs). Volunteers will be trained to use microscopes to identify HAB species, how to report blooms, and field sampling protocols. Volunteers are asked to sample from field sites twice a month.
