Stewardship Stroll- October Afternoon at Clambank Causeway
Take an afternoon hike along the Clambank causeway at North Inlet-Winyah Bay NERR. Â As we walk the along the road (approximately 2 miles), we will pass by marsh pools popular with herons, egrets, and ospreys, which can often be seen hunting or resting along the water’s edge. Additionally, you may spot other wildlife including crabs, fish, and small mammals that thrive in this unique ecosystem. As we hike, we will discuss current conservation topics and how we can all be stewards of our coastal habitats. Sturdy hiking shoes or boots are recommended to ensure comfort and safety. We will meet at the Hobcaw Barony Discovery Center and travel by van. Â Participants must be 18 or older to ride in the van.
