Shorebird Steward Training
Do you like spending time on the beach and want to help protect our coastal birds? Be an Audubon Shorebird Steward this spring and summer to educate beach goers about how to share the beach with imperiled nesting & resting coastal birds on a beach near you. The Shorebird Stewards program engages a growing group of volunteers to protect coastal birds. Learn how to volunteer for this program and have the opportunity to practice field identification of shorebirds at North Inlet. An introduction to the Audubon program and training will be at the Hobcaw Discovery Center from 9 AM to noon, followed by a trip down to the Reserve for field identification practice. A picnic lunch will be provided, bring binoculars, some spotting scopes will be available. Registration is required.
