Winyah Watershed Paddle: Black Mingo Creek, Black River
Join Reserve Education staff for a peaceful morning paddle along Black Mingo Creek on the Black River. As we journey downstream, we’ll explore the rich natural history of this unique ecosystem—learning about native plants, wildlife, and the vital role these waterways play in our community. We’ll also be joined by a special guest paddler: Erin Donmoyer, the Black/Sampit Riverkeeper, who will share insights about conservation and river stewardship.
Participants must provide their own kayak, paddle, life jacket, and whistle. This program is designed for experienced paddlers ages 18 and up.
This will be a one-way paddle from Cowhead Landing to Brown’s Ferry Landing. At the end of the trip, our 14-passenger van will shuttle all participants back to Cowhead Landing. After registering, you’ll receive additional details to help you prepare for the trip.
