Winyah Watershed Paddle: Cowhead to Brown’s Ferry, Black River

Join Reserve Education staff for a afternoon of exploration along the Black River. As we kayak through the Black River, we will talk about native plants, animals and why this ecosystem is so important to us as a community. We will have special guest paddlers joining us; Erin Donmoyer the Black/Sampit Riverkeeper and TL Staub Trails Coordinator for Georgetown County Parks and founder of Georgetown Outdoor Adventure Trails (G.O.A.T.)

You must provide your own kayak, paddle, lifejacket, and whistle. This program is intended for experienced paddlers ages 18 and older.

This will be a one-way paddle from Cowhead Landing to Brown’s Ferry Landing. We will have our 14 passenger van to transport everyone from Brown’s Ferry back to Cowhead Landing to start the kayak trip. Once registered, you will recieve more information regarding the kayak trip.
