Winyah Watershed Paddle: Peter’s Creek, Black River

Join Reserve Education staff for a morning of exploration along the undeveloped Black River. As we kayak through the Black River, we will talk about native plants, animals and why this ecosystem is so important to us as a community. 

You must provide your own kayak, paddle, lifejacket, and whistle. This program is intended for experienced paddlers ages 18 and older. Bring snacks, sunscreen, bug spray and plenty of water! This kayak trip is about 5 miles total, out and back.

This paddle launch will take place at Peter’s Creek Landing along the Black River (off of Choppee Rd in Georgetown). Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email a few days prior to the event. Please email hayley@baruch.sc.edu if you have any questions.
