The Low Impact Development Manual
Low Impact Development in Coastal South Carolina: A Planning and Design Guide
The North Inlet-Winyah Bay and ACE Basin Coastal Training Programs, the Center for Watershed Protection, and SC Sea Grant Consortium developed the LID Manual for Coastal South Carolina through a NERRS Science Collaborative Grant. The project team worked with researchers, developers, engineers, landscape architects, planners, and other practitioners to ensure that the planning, design, and development guidance is based upon local stormwater research and effective management practices. The goal of the LID Manual is to increase coastal communities’ knowledge and implementation of low impact development practices, thereby, protecting the water quality of our local rivers, marshes, and beaches.
